I created this.
“If you wish to make anything from scratch, you must first create the universe.”
This makes the “I” quite the misrepresentation. How much of that creation is truly your own contribution?
I cannot claim to have created anything, for my contribution compared to those before me - those who I depend on - is insignificant.
We stand “on the shoulders of giants”.
As our specializations increase, it becomes more difficult to determine the extent of that contribution.
Why do?
- value of time;
- even though my contribution is insignificant compared to those before
- it is quite significant compared to those present
Why does it matter?
- framing: how much do you matter?
That “I” is a standard. And I hope that my claim to a creation is not one of possession, but one of quality. This transformation I present to you meets this standard, and you should expect nothing less.
- demonstration of capability; I did this, therefore I can do this.
